Fitch Uses in history
In 1837 Mountain Man Seth Kinman - Was the first American hunter/trapper to use this introduce fur pelts as part of his apparel in a "designed" fashion. He is the sole person who originated the "Mountain Man" appearance. He traded regularly with Native Americans and in doing so, learned how valuable fur was not only for warmth but for use as part of making his apparel have a personal touch. He would often wear a full length fitch pelt around his head or neck. To the Native Americans, wearing an amimal pelt has a much deeper meaning. Both Ethnic groups would have never known what kind of trend they would set for more than 200 years!

These are winter fitch tails. Summer fitch tails are blonde in color.  Both of them are classic in appearance. One is an early winter tail. You can see that the underfur is lighter and guard hairs are not as thick or dark as the winter tail. The darker of the two measures 7-3/4". The other is 7-1/4" If you have any additional questions about this item, please feel free to ask.

Our history on Ebay:

We have been selling on ebay since early 20031with a 100% rating and have never had a returned item in our entire history. However, due to consistent problems with Pay Pal (on their part) we had to close the old account and open a new one in 2009. We are sorry you can't view all of our great feedback. We try hard to please and pay special attention to shipping. It is important to us that our customers get what they are paying for-on time and in one piece!

We are always open to input or corrections to facts on our listings.
